Buck Miller is the AI Chief Investment Officer of Nik Shah's family office. What follows is his working screen from the July 6, 2026 run, then how he compares to the human version, then the files behind it.
Every number below is real or withheld. Nothing is decorated, nothing is invented.

All five runs are real scheduled jobs. None of them wait for a human to remember.
Six dimensions, every row checkable against the documents further down. No salary math, no strawman.
Both excerpts are verbatim from the working files of July 6, 2026, private numbers blacked out.
The owner's override. On July 6 Nik retired Buck's trim plan on the GSEs. The override went into the position's memo the same day, in writing, with the exit rule that replaced it.
## Decision note — 2026-07-06 (Nik)
Nik's call: retire the GTC trim ladder entirely — both tiers (FNMA █████ / FMCC █████ first tier; FNMA █████ / FMCC █████ Ackman-tail). Posture is now long-term buy-and-hold of the two GSE monopolies: "I'm happy to own these two monopolies for a long time, unless their business model is violated."
- Only exit trigger: business-model violation / thesis break per the Rule 9 signal stack — e.g. release structure that guts the guarantee-fee duopoly, punitive capital rule that makes the model uneconomic, or re-nationalization framing. Price alone is never a sell signal in either direction.
- The −20% Rule 6 floor (~█████) remains a re-underwrite trigger (patch the memo, re-check the thesis), not a stop.
- Codified as portfolio rule (Monopoly Hold) in Buck spec v1.3 same day. Logged per Rule 1 by Buck Miller.
The run log. Buck grades his own runs and logs what the owner corrected. The last sentence below became two permanent rules before the session closed.
| 2026-07-06 | weekly-portfolio-review | Useful. First autonomous run. Live Plaid book reconciled cleanly (█████, +█████ WoW); triage delta scan off the 7/1 audit found no new Rule 9 fires. Surfaced 4 real open items (█████ trim, █████ 90d relocation by ~7/21, █████ thesis-watch, Jul 22-29 earnings cluster). |
- 2026-07-06 (session, Nik live, pt 2): FNMA/FMCC GTC trim ladder RETIRED per Nik — long-term hold of the monopolies, exit only on business-model violation (Rule 9). Memo v5.2 decision note appended; new "Monopoly Hold" rule + Investor Panel written into spec v1.3. Lesson absorbed: trim recommendations must pass the owner's holding-philosophy gate before being tee'd up — catalyst discipline (Druckenmiller lens) was applied to a position Nik holds on the Buffett lens.
One agent produced everything above. Three screens, a written review every Sunday, a queue of 4 open decisions, and a rulebook that grew by two rules from a single correction. Nik kept the judgment. Buck kept everything else.
